It was a beautiful day for the Philadelphia Marathon with temperatures at the start in the 40s and at the finish high 40s and low 50s. The wave start went off without a hitch and seemed to be very organized. GU was handed out in 3 different places and there were a good number of water stops along the way.
The course started running down town, through South Street and the half marathon was at the Art Museum. From there, runners proceeded towards Kelly Drive, up Sedgley Drive and down Lemon Hill, down Kelly Drive and into Manayunk, turned around at Green Lane in Manayunk and ran back down Kelly Drive and finished on the Ben Franklin Parkway.
